Pangarh Lake Retreat

Whilst it has some features, most of the description is a lie. Key omissions at the property include pool, yoga, sports/games, massage, welcome drink, happy hour, bathrobes, coffee lounge etc. There was no guest WiFi and our phones had no reception. I was informed of it's luxury and it was described as a spa and wellness centre. It is actually a campsite undergoing refurbishment and repair (even the owner used this description during a phone call at check out). It currently lacks a main chef and the food was terrible (all bone and no meat in the curry, limited mediocre breakfast) Our wooden chalet had bare building board as the shower base and balcony floor, holes in the walls were covered over with masking tape and the approach decking was in a dangerous condition. Two windows were blanked with sheet metal. The access consists of miles of poor road and rough track to the property. The property requires a 50% advance payment via visa. We mistakenly assumed that we could pay the remainder in the same way. With a night rate of 9688 rupees, at check out, we were offered a 340rupee discount. The property later agreed to a discount of 2000 rupees (this only was agreed as we had insufficient cash with us and the management recognised the deficiencies in the property). Despite this, we still consider it overpriced.

The location is great for a retreat far from everything , quiet and peaceful !

Lot of ongoing construction and the resort need some refresh, it is a bit expensive for what you get. But there is a potential for the property.

Everything was good about this place. Location, room, food. The staffs were very humble and polite. They arrange for a special treat for us to make our day special. So thankful.
