Double Decker Houseboat

Non ho pututo vedere la struttura , in quanto siamo state indirizzate , a nostra insaputa , su un’altra imbarcazione , non da noi scelta , di standard decisamente inferiore a quella già pagata e scelta per avere dei requisiti dai quali non abbiamo potuto usufruire . Siamo state dirottate, ignaramente , dicendoci che la barca da noi scelta era full , peccato Che nessuno ci aveva avvisato , l’abbiamo scoperto al momento del check-in . Sotto nostra lamentela il direttore della Double Decker houseboat , in modo estremamente scortese , non ci ha dato nessun’altra possibilità di scelta , se non quella di restare sulla barca da noi non scelta , e di categoria decisamente inferiore , dove, vista la grossa dimensione della barca , non abbiamo nemmeno potuto esplorare su di essa , i fiumi di Alleppy ma rimanere soltanto sul lago della laguna . Ribadisco : avevamo scelto una barca piccola e siamo state imbarcate su una barca grande , abbiamo pagato per una camera superior e con balcone e tv e spazi all’aperto , e ci siamo ritrovate su una barca con nessuno di questi requisiti , sporca e spoglia .il fatto che più ci rincresce che questo ha contribuito a farci avere una cattiva esperienza su questo luogo tanto decantato in tutte le guide sul Kerala . Ci siamo sentite prese in giro , perché se noi non ce ne fossimo accorte , nessuno ci avrebbe detto nulla , pensando di farla franca . Detto questo un consiglio NON scegliete questa barca .

Non della struttura in quanto non l’abbiamo neanche vista , ma su chi la gestisce avremmo parecchio da dire . Persona poco seria e estremamente scortese

Food variety could have been better

All expected amenities were available. Hot water worked well, room and areas were super clean.Chef cooking was awesome and better than those cookings experienced in the hotels. Excellent value for price.

Bed mattress should be a little softer.

Nothing I liked in this house boat except that the food is not like Hotel or restaurant food. It was like home cooked food which is good.

I dint like the rooms itself and overall boat. Firstly more than 100+ images are shown for the houseboats in booking.com as they have included images of all the houseboats they own but in reality we got a houseboat which is NOT GOOD. The glass windows are not cleaned so we didn't had a nice view from our room window. Though its a double decker , the AC is switched off on the top floor which means we cannot sit on the first fllor and since there are no chairs in our rooms, we have to be on our bed all time from 1 AM to 7 PM. The price is also very costly for 24K for one night can stay luxurily in a five star hotel . Not much food options are provided , 1 plate of fish fry for lunch along with rice, Sambhar and 2 veg curries , same menu for night with chicken and no fish . So non-veg just 1 dish type each in lunch and dinner. For Breakfast they just offered, Idly, bread sandwich and omlette, upon insisting they prepared Dosa also had we booked a hotel we could have got much better breakfast with more food options. In Booking.com, they have included a bottle of wine as extra and when asked the staff they said , please talk to booking.com which was frustrating then I had to call the owner and he promised it will be arranged for dinner which they did . So only upon we ask they will provide similar to my requests for breakfast and wine. From 1 PM to 6 PM the boat was just roaming in the waters not going to any places , same with all other house boats they just keep roaming in waters and you dont get to see any locations. After 7 PM they took to a place which is 30 minutes form our boarding point, night stay dinner and next day morning in 30 minutes you will reach the boarding point to get down. So all 24 K just to spend 1 hour in water and for very simple food which is not worth 24K so I recommend all travellers not to book house boat instead stay in a hotel and spend 1-2 hours in house which takes you through backwaters and not just roam in waters no where

nothing as i refused to get on board

this is rip off. they advertise luxury houseboat with fake pictures. When you arrive they are not organized and downgrade you a dirty old boat that is not even a 1* . It took us 3 hours to get to the houseboat and another 3 hours to get back to our hotel. We lost alot of money and an entire day of our vacation ruined. DO NOT BOOK THEM
