Beautiful accommodation in the heart of zona colonial that however didn't meet our expectations on the service side: Wrong room assigned at check-in and were asked to move to another room just shortly after having settled in, no hot water in the room until requested, large amounts wrongly charged to our credit card and we had to return several times to reception to address this - Issue remains unresolved almost one week after our departure and we can only assume that our card was linked to another room.

We stayed in Kimpton Las Mercedes for our Anniversary. Upon arrival we were advised that the pool would not be available for the two first days of our stay. This was extremely inconvenient since we had booked the resort specifically for its pool access and had wanted to enjoy it those first two days, since the following days we had excursions booked. We were provided with access to small Jacuzzis. However when we attempted to use the Jacuzzis and after requesting service the first day, no staff came to assist. Once the pool did open there was also no staff to take your drink orders during the day, you had to call in your orders. Most evenings had private events which was inconvenient and limited access to the hotel grounds. Additionally every morning at 7am we were woken up by staff either power washing the floors, vacuuming or buffing. Breakfast was nice but expensive. The free tastings of wine, rum and chocolate were also nice. All in all we would not recommend the hotel if you are looking to relax or have a romantic getaway.

Everything was very good staff waiters front desk everybody was very helpful and pleasant only thing there is no towels hooks in bathroom and for nightstand is like a small piece wood on wall no drawers

El hotel es hermoso, las personas amable s y atentas. Las habitaciones tienen muchos detalles que hacen que todo sea mas comodo.

The hotel is nice, clean, modern, and centrally located. Service is slow, and the operation at the pool is a hot mess. They claim to have a pool bar, but it is never open and when you order a drink, they have to get it from the bar in the main floor, which takes quite some time. Pool also had no available towels, and it took some time for them to be replaced. Would stay there again, but prefer the service and ambiance at the nearby Hodelpa Nicolas de Ovando. Manager (guy) talked to me to make things right and assure me that he would take care of it personally, but I never heard back from him. Another manager, named Barbara, was more helpful. Other guests had same issues.

Una joya en medio de la ciudad colonial de Santo Domingo. Lleva abierto pocos meses y el equipo es excelente. Se nota mucho el buen hacer en la dirección , que nos atendió magníficamente en todo momento el personal de sala y de planta muy profesional. Nota destacada al desayuno y al brunch que incorporan en estos días Con una calidad excelente y muy variado. Sin duda, un Hotel para regresar siempre en Santo Domingo.
