The location was great! Thornthwaite has nothing to offer itself though, we had to go to Braithwaite for a meal out, which isn't far but would've been nice to have been able to walk. But, it's the Lakes, we're always going to love being nestled in the hills. The kitchen was well stocked and there was even an empty cupboard we could put food in :)

Upon occupying the property, we observed evidence of dampness in several areas, characterized by visible patches. A consistent musty odour permeated the premises, even with the windows and doors open for ventilation. The effectiveness of air fresheners deployed by the landlord in mitigating this odor was minimal. The persistent high humidity levels hindered the natural drying of towels and required the use of external hanging or a tumble dryer. Additionally, bath towels, an expected amenity in rental accommodations, were not provided, necessitating guests to provide their own.
