Kamaole Sands 5401 in Kihei

Location was great and we liked how much space we had.

The beds were horrible and the dishes dirty when we arrived.

The unit was very clean and nicely furnished we have stayed at over 10 different units over the years at this property This in top two as far as units go for cleanliness and furnishing.

The key lock went out on us on the second day. Left messages at office and their service person after 45 minutes of being locked out finally got a text a code with another code to get in ( We never able to talk to anyone or even get an apology). Was told the lock is glitchy! They need a back up key for use. This unit is the farthest from the elevator and parking lot that did not provide a cart for bringing in grocery's, hauling stuff to beach. Luckily another unit saw us and loaned us their cart. We were four adults , We were only provided 3 beach towels and limited bath towels. All other units we have stayed in have been stocked with extra towels so you could wash towels as needed. They have a total of 7 beach chairs but no umbrella or cart for getting to the beach, again all the other units we have stayed in have had a lot more beach stuff and a cart. Plan on buying an umbrella if your going to the beach. There is only one elevator for the building the unit is on the 4th floor. The elevator was broken down for most of three of the seven days were staying on the property. Check out is 10am for this unit. All other units we have stayed at the check out has been 11am. Last but not least they are working on the roofs of the buildings. They failed to let us know. Had we known that they were working right above us on the roof and set up the staging area for the next building right below us, lots of noise. We would not have stayed in this unit. Probably would not rent this unit again. This is the most negative review I have written on a Kam Sands unit.
