1st Floor 2 Bed 2 Bath Condo w Pool By Beach

Everything was great, walking distance to beach and also super close to the pool.

This was such a nice vacation! From the get go, I was in touch with the property host, RJ, and he was great! He was so helpful and pleasant. During our booking, I noticed I stated our arrival was an hour before their actual check in time. (Which I felt bad because it was holiday weekend, but RJ didn’t mind) A couple hours prior to our arrival, RJ text to let us know that the keypad on the door wasn’t working properly so he had to change it out. He asked me to text or call when we got close, which I did. He timed it right and was there before us, to hand deliver the keys! I was informed by him that they were having to replace one of the couches, due to damage. There was still a normal sized couch, a recliner. I told him it was only us 2, so that’s plenty for us. (The only thing missing was the damaged love seat) He let us know that the shipping was delayed by 2-5 days because of either the holiday or tropical storm brewing, so he apologized and asked how he could make it up to us for not being exactly as expected. I told him bring some extra towels and recommend some restaurants that HE likes, not the touristy crap that is popular with the vacationers! LOL Let me tell you….the local joints are absolutely amazing! The extra towels and washrags were handy too, but let’s be honest, I’m here for the food! LOL The master bedroom was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. Both shower heads had good pressure and the w/d was a God send! Who likes going home knowing they have loads of laundry? This property was centrally located. Half a blk from a convenience store,1 block from a family owned golf cart rental, and at the east end of Gardenia is a beach access and a little cafe, great for breakfast. It’s easy to go to and from this rental because there’s an open crossover, so you can easily access the central roadway, rather than having to go down 2 blks in the opposite direction and make a U-turn to go back to the causeway. We will return, as long as RJ is still hosting!

I didn’t like that the island doesn’t have a golf course. But it’s no fault of the rental owners! Haha I wish they’d had a book to sign for people who stay there. We regularly book vacation homes/condos/cabins and I love reading where people are from and the places they visited in the vicinity and certain dishes they order. But is that a dislike? No, really just a recommendation 😉

Wonderful location, 1 block to the ocean and very quiet neighborhood

The bed linens and old quilts were not nice for the lovely spaces.
