Firstly we loved the hospitality and friendliness of our host Aruna and his wife Ranjanie they were so lovely the room was extremely clean and comfortable with a beautiful garden in front.Also my wife wasnt feeling well and Aruna was extremely kind to her and went out of his way to to make sure she was comfortable.The location also was very handy to visiting town and attractions all in all a truely wonderful stay

Leaving was hard as it felt like home

Homestay này ở vị trí siêu tiện luôn, từ bến xe bus hay ga tàu đi bộ về là tới, không cần lỉnh kỉnh bắt tuk tuk. Với ai đi Sri Lanka bằng bus/tàu như mình thì đúng kiểu “cứ xuống xe là về phòng nghỉ được ngay”, rất khỏe người. Chủ nhà thì dễ thương cực kỳ. Vừa đến nơi đã mời bánh với trà, cảm giác như về nhà ai đó chơi chứ không phải đi thuê phòng. Ông còn cẩn thận ngồi viết tay cho tụi mình cách đi Tissa sao cho thuận tiện nhất. Phòng sạch sẽ, gọn gàng, có sẵn máy sấy tóc (đi xa mà có cái này là thấy biết ơn liền). Xung quanh thoáng đãng, mát mẻ, không khí dễ chịu nên buổi tối ngủ rất ngon.

Điểm trừ nhỏ là nước trong phòng tắm hơi yếu, tắm không đã lắm. Nhưng nếu không quá khắt khe về khoản này thì mọi thứ còn lại đều rất ổn, đặc biệt là sự nhiệt tình của chủ nhà – cái này mới là thứ làm mình nhớ nhất.

Owner was lovely and very welcoming with a coffee and friendly chat. The bed was big & comfy enough with a net if you wanted to use it. Seating outside on a shared verandah, overlooking the garden. Although you can hear a tiny bit of noise from the Main Street it is not a bother at all and a rather tranquil garden. Excellent value for money.

It's a very steep little road our driver wouldn't go up so we put our cases onto a tuk tuk for the 120m walk. Surprisingly the owner was not offering an eve meal or any breakfast as there was only 2 rooms booked. It was really heavy rain that day/night and we got drenched having to go out and find food, which was a disappointment. Sadly that made it leak a bit in our bedroom too but that didn't effect us too much. The owners over zealous dog caused my husband a bit of damage but our fault partly for saying we liked dogs but weren't expecting that! But the dog had all his jabs so he just patched himself up at the local pharmacy. Hard to coax Luke warm water out of the neat little en-suite but that was no big deal.

I stayed here for one night, and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is close to the train station and within walking distance. There is a beautiful garden where you can relax and take a break. When I arrived, the host offered me welcome tea and kindly helped me book a tuktuk. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had hot water. I had a very good rest here. It’s a great option for staying in Ella. I would definitely stay here again!!

The host and his wife were really nice and greeted us with tea and a map for exploring the sights of Ella. We also were able to store our luggage there on our check out day. He kindly organized a driver for us to go to the tea factory. There is a super cute chunky verbal dog living there and it was nice to pet him. Location is just amazing.

The place is well located.. walking distance from the railway station and the high street, which is practically everything - including noise and many tourist traps. The accommodation is part of a home with independent access. They have a lovely garden with an outdoor sitting area. The hosts are warm and welcoming.

The place has a short but steep up-hill climb. No table or chair / workplace.
