Seawind Condominiums Tower 1,3,4,5

Seawind is a clean and modern condo complex with decent amenities, especially the pools. The architecture is legitimately high quality and won some awards apparently. We liked the location since my wife is from that part of town, so it was convenient for her relatives. The quality of rooms depends on which specific unit you get. In general it is ok, and you get a kitchen, which is useful if you are cooking while there. Nice balcony views from higher floors. If you are sleeping a lot of people this is a good choice, you could probably get 8 people in here with the pullout beds.

The main room in our unit was VERY cramped, the dining area and living room furniture are literally shoved up against each other. Also for me as a Western person the bathroom was very basic with no barrier between the shower and toilet area, so you are sloshing through water every time you use the toilet. There is also little or no counter space to store toilet supplies in the bathroom. In general bathroom fixtures were rock bottom, "lowest bidder" quality. Another thing which might be good or bad, Seawind is VERY close to the Davao airport runway. So close that airplanes on final approach come thundering directly overhead 5-10 times a day, and you can practically see passengers' faces in the windows. I actually enjoyed this being kind of an aviation buff, but it might annoy some people. Finally there is not a lot of good retail nearby, a couple of convenience stores and a wet market, but that's about it.

Hosts were very nice and the condo was clean and cozy.

Security guards hassling us everyday over parking. Traffic in this area of Davao is really bad.
