The property is relatively modern but supplied with next to no toilet roll, is well worn in the kitchen etc and there is no pool heating option. Who would buy a £1m property in a hot country without pool heating! Also, there is a chunk of the pool sectioned off with poorly fitted decking which we reported and no one came to address. Screws protruding just waiting to hurt one of our children. In addition, the smoke alarm woke everyone at around 3 in the morning and we reported and no one came to address that either.

Pool has to be heated or at least advertised with an unheated pool. We normally stay near Alvor in a friends villa which has a larger plot, much bigger pool which is heated and all for £1000 per week. I know that is cheap but £3k for this just seems expensive. However it seemed the best deal when we booked so possibly not. I saw comments about the beds and thought it can't be that bad, I can sleep on a bed of nails. If you invited me to stay in this villa again for free i wouldn't go as the pool is too cold (no cover either) and the beds are like blocks - way to hard! We had our second week in Alvor and only booked this as the other wasn't available for 2 weeks and whilst Alvor property is dated the pool and comfy beds more than make up for it.
