" A must experience place in Hokkaido". We had no idea what was ahead of us when we booked a stay at "one and only". We were scrolling through places to stay nearby/on the way to asahidake, and came across this affordable place, and thought it looked nice. What a lucky find. As we arrived, the host had lit up the fireplace, the front room was nice and warm and cozy. Two bedrooms, and a living room with an extra bed, was ready for us. Comfortable beds and great atmosphere. What we was about to realize, was that this special place also came with an excellent chef. We were served a delicious 7 course meal made entirely of local ingredients. The dishes were of Michelin quality at an affordable cost. To top it off, the whole experience was as we sat in this beautiful kitchen as the hosts cooked and served us with tastefully seasoned creations. Everything made from scratch. This was a culinary experience you’ll have to pay top dollar for in the city. Breakfast next morning was delicious and served with the same kind of passion. We were mesmerized by the delicious food and hospitality of the hosts and can’t wait to get back. We highly recommend visiting "one and only", either for a total package or just to satisfy your needs to enjoy a great meal. Best food experience on our trip to Japan this time.
