Unit 404 at Menlyn Place

Place was as is in the pictures. Very beautiful and tidy place. We had a very great stay

The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, with a large dining room table that I could use to work at, and I was able to invite clients here for meetings. For longer business stays, it has everything you need including even a washing machine. In future whenever I need to be in Pretoria, this will be my first choice. It is also just around the corner from Menlyn Maine, where there is a collection of restaurants as well as grocery stores.

The traffic noise from the nearby road is a little disturbing, but it settles down from about 9:30 at night.

The apartment is very modern and well located very close to Menlyn Shopping Centre. It was very clean. The lady I spoke was very pleasant and apologetic about the shower but nothing was done.to improve it. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the apartment is well equipped.

The shower was a joke!! The worst I've ever experienced. The water was hardly coming out of the shower head and took about 2 minutes to get hot. It then gets extremely hot, and when you try to move the mixer just a little to make it colder, it goes to ice cold. We stayed for 3 nights but were only provided with one bath towel each and only 1 hand towel in the bathroom for all of us to share. More towels should be provided. The lift was not operational, but we were informed of this before our trip. The apartment is on the 4th floor, which would not be ideal for older people or those who are not able to walk 4 floors. The apartment is advertised as having air-conditioning but there was only one unit in one of the bedrooms. The apartments lounge window faces onto a main freeway, which is very loud at certain times of the day. It's fine with the windows closed, but due to the hot weather and no air-conditioning in the lounge, we had to open the windows so it was quite loud and difficult to hear the TV or even each other at times.

Decor

Lipstick on a pig comes to mind. - Lift was out of service. Had so struggle up the stairs with all our luggage - There was basically no water pressure making it extremely difficult to shower - The minimal water in the shower takes about 20 minutes to warm up - Its totally unacceptable not being able to shower after a long day on the road - The property is has an extremely busy road passing right next to the apartment

The space is exactly as it is advertised. Bigger than expected. The finishings were impressive. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious and comfortable.The location is also great for Times Square Arena events and stay overs after a concert. It's walking distance. The hosts were easy to communicate with, flexible and understanding.

The lift didn't work during our stay which was an inconvenience with our luggage. Also the shower pressure is low, needed to be higher for our liking. The complex needs an overall renovation upgrade.
