2131 Private Double Room

The picture is not of the same room that was rented to me. The owner sent me a rude message after I called booking dot com and told me that I didn't have common sense and shouldn't have expected more since I didn't pay a lot of money. The room and place was out dated , scary, unsafe. The bedroom door was not secure and broken. It looked like old leaks were in the ceiling. The walls had patches all over them. And it looked like it was a house for sober people in a crime ridden neighborhood.

This place is a dump! It requests the arrival time prior to your arrival, so I provided that at 4:00 p.m. upon arrival after 6:00 p.m. The room still wasn't ready, causing us quite a delay for our activities for the evening. It's in one of the worst sections of the city which I somewhat knew and understood based on the price, but it's bad. The room is dirty. I wasn't giving the Wi-Fi password information so I had to call and find that information out late in the eye causing a delay and then it's terrible as well. It's very slow. The room is also dirty. I don't think the floor in that guest room has been cleaned swept and mopped in probably a month But the worst and the most significant part is the electricity in the guest room I was provided is completely crossed with the electricity for the bathroom on the floorway. That means each time that the bathroom light is turned on in the bathroom. Every single working electric item in that guest room gets turned off until that bathroom light gets turned off, including the air conditioning, the all the lights, anything plugged into any outlets as well as the hallway light outside of the guest room. It's a terrible place and I want my money back.

Quite area, parking directly out front, and the location is a quick drive to 95 as well as rt 1 to 76. You can be on both in 5 mins. The location is literally surrounded by everything needed including a laundromat on the same block just 6 buildings down. There is also a small papi store well as a Chinese restaurant around the corner ablut a block away. The room includes an in suite bathroom. Suffice to say the place is pretty well rounded and for the price its worth it. If you are trying to save $ this is the place. If you are used to 3 star and above this is not the place so spend a little more and stay elsewhere but having said that it js exactly the type of place that works for thrifty traveling. The owner is a nice guy and is on site 24/7 so any problems he is here to help.

Not really able to cook meals however you are able to store food in the fridge.

The host was great and made me feel safe as a female traveling alone and I'm glad he actually stays onsite. He was very friendly and genuine and he added value to the whole experience! The place is older and I like older architecture but it may be a deterrent to some people. You get the feel of going home to your grandparents and staying in the lil room near the attic and being taken care of. It's not a hotel so don't expect five star hotel accommodations and amenities; it's a home stay so more like staying in a elder person's home and it's near to everything including public transportation.

The bathroom is shared and upstairs and not everyone remembers this so people may need to be reminded they're not the only ones in the house and should be considerate to other guests needs
