JPAs an architect, I most appreciated the ring shaped building on top of the mountain, making the most out of 360° views. The architecture is modest, but functional and comfortable, and makes for a great introduction to life outdoors. The surrounding sakura trees were not quite in bloom when we visited, but the round roof terrace makes for perfect Hanami viewing and stargazing at night!
Dinner and breakfast is copious and comes in picnic baskets to be cooked on the BBQ by oneself - great fun! ...yet unfortunately this also means a lot of plastic wrapping and waste - not the best eco message.
