Agam Homestay -100 meters from golden temple

Staff was very polite and very helpfull.We msg them for early check in and they arranged it.Room was neat and clean.Hot was available for 24x7 as we visited in winter. Yes highly appreciated and recommended.

The room was very clean, with Aircon and extra sheet provided when asked for. Bathroom was really great with a separate shower and hot water. Also a kettle was provided. As it was at the back of the building it was very quiet and dark, easy to sleep in. The manager was very helpful.

The lack of windows made it quiet but it might not suit everyone. Although the street it is in is very noisy and dusty in the day. It is a little more than two minutes walk to the golden temple but is very close once you get off the busy road. We had very noisy neighbours the first night playing TV loud until well after midnight.

Not exactly as clean as shown in the pictures. Stained linen, stained towels, stained walls, dirty chair, noisy (no noise-proof windows). The aircon would not turn on sometimes (needed to be jump-started from the reception). No phone to communicate with the reception,so had to go down every time I would need it. No elevator (in construction? Literally you pass by the tapered shaft). Requested laundry service, and clothes came back dirtier than how they left (still wondering how or why, but some I threw away). Staff in this hotel is very kind. Apart from that, no “hotel” service at all. Kindness goes a long way but not to the extent of this. Also, my skin itched both nights. Wonder if allergy or bed bugs.

I really like the location it's very close to Golden temple. The staff was also very good.

They don't have proper ventilation. The building is quite new but they don't have windows and the exhaust was not good. It was humid and suffocating without fresh air. I will suggest getting checked with the property if they have windows installed or a better exhaust system.
