Villa JES - 4 Bedroom Villa - Legian

The villa is great, the bedrooms are roomy and bathrooms are very modern just a little hot. The pool is beautiful and the outdoor area is spacious and relaxing, pool doesn't get sun but we enjoyed cooling off after being out in the heat. Location is great close to everything in Legian and short walk to beach - only downside is the dark alley way that is used for bikes and scooters. Fine during the day, feels quite sketchy at night.

The villa doesn't have staff on-site, which is fine they made it very clear in the conditions we were sent when booking that the manager would organise a time to clean the villa. The first day we were there they entered the villa without our permission, while my husband was in bed, we let them know we didn't need cleaning as we hadn't been there long. They came back and entered a second time. This happened twice, we have never stayed at a villa where staff let themselves in and walk straight into the villa. It was uncomfortable and made us feel like they would arrive at any time. On the last night we were walking back after dinner and found a group of people outside the villa, one man in particular said he was security for the villa. He didn't have a uniform and we had stayed 4 nights prior with no sighting of any security and the list that they have made of all the staff doesn't mention any security. When we opened the padlock he move towards the door like he was going to come in, my husband asked he to move away and asked to see his uniform and badge. The man said he didn't speak English, it was a very uncomfortable feeling for us all. We did contact the manager and he said he was security but we honestly don't believe it as the villa sends an essay of details about what not to do in the villa and what to expect with no mention of this. He apologised for the guys behaviour but it left a really bad taste for us. We have stayed in villas of all different types for the last 20 years in Bali and we have never experienced anything like this. Not a nice feeling when you're staying with children.

We loved our stay at Villa Jes. It offered complete privacy and had more than enough space to accommodate our whole family. Highly recommended

Probably the only couple things would be not close to the beach….a bit of a walk and the motorbikes using the lane way as a thoroughfare

The bikes coming down the footpath all day and night. It’s treated like a road and very dark at night with no lights.

No soap, shampoo, sink plug - sounds menial but was weird not have soap and shampoo. Couldn’t wash up either. A bit out of the way from restaurants etc Only there for 1 night but longer would get frustrating

Easy collection of keys, good explanation of the villa and all its facilities. Beautiful pool, always a great temp and very, very clean. Leo, the villa housekeeper, was lovely and very easy to deal with, very quick to respond. The villa itself is lovely, beautiful rooms and a lovely living space. The 2 outdoor fans make a big difference when very hot/humid. The 4th "bedroom" is tiny, but the aircon works well and it has a toilet.

The location was good and easy to get out and amongst the rest of the area however you do have to walk up the alleyway to get a taxi.
