Chill-out @ SiRaM-MaRiS, Desaru (5 mins to beach)

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The location is within a secure neighborhood with gaurds. We had a good staycation here, the rooms are clean and spacious. The owner prepared us with drinking water and necessary accessories, we like the reading corner very much.

We were disappointed with our stay at this villa. On the first day, the auto gate key battery was found to have been depleted, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. Later that night, a large cockroach was seen crawling in the living hall, and another dead one found inside the mahjong table drawer. Unfortunately, again, on the second day, a big spider - suspected to be poisonous - appeared in one of the bedrooms. We encountered yet another spider in a different bedroom on the final day. Overall, the villa did not feel well maintained or clean. The cleanliness was below expectations, and the repeated encounters with pests made the stay uncomfortable. It could also be due to the over-growing plants which are not cleared or maintained well. Hope the owner will take these issues seriously and improve the upkeep for future guests.

The owner was very kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier than our scheduled time. They also ensured the house was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival, making it perfect for my family of seven. The location is excellent, and I appreciated the privacy and tranquility compared to staying at a hotel. The best part is that the 2nd floor bedrooms have an interconnected big toilet. Good for all my 4 kids to bathe and my helper have her own room privacy as well. Trying out this homestay was a fantastic decision, and I have no regrets. For those driving to Desaru, I highly recommend staying at this house!

We were looking for a good homestay within our budget, and this house was a perfect fit. Everything met our expectations. A small suggestion for the owner would be to slightly increase the shower water pressure to make bathing quicker and more convenient. Other than that, everything was great—9/10!
