Lodges 1 - Lake Front

Fantastic location and lovely accommodation.

地理位置极佳，去预定的realnz，几乎就在马路对面！可以说就在镇中心。我看其他的临湖民宿都要上大坡，我们这边几乎平路，对我俩个不爱运动的孩子来说，太友好了！我们开的房车能完整停在车库口，解决了大问题！最重要的是，风景无敌了，就在湖边！

Beautiful views, super comfy beds and pillows, excellent heating, nice clean bathrooms, Netflix and Disney apps on tv, games, comfy lounges. Perfect set up for a family of 4.

The cleaning wasn't finished by the check in time so better time management there would be good. We arrived early and We were allowed to leave our suitcases though which was helpful. Coffee machine milk frother was not clean properly and smelt. A vacuum cleaner would be good to keep the floors clean during the stay ( especially with children ). A smart TV in the upstairs bedroom would have been really nice but thats just personal preference. Also felt a tad unsafe with the locks on the front and back door just being like a regular internal door lock.

The location was perfect. Short easy walk along the waterfront to restaurants and other attractions. I loved how easy it was to park out front. The view from the lounge room was so beautiful. We stayed at four holiday venues around NZ this holiday and Lodges 1 was my teenage daughters favourite. She loved the retro feel of the place. We all loved the quaint cottage feel.

Firstly a caveat - this part is not to discourage you from staying here as I will be next time I visit!! But, please note this is not a modern venue. It is an art-deco older style apartment, so you shouldn't expect the Ritz. As you will have read with the other reviews, the ensuite in the master bedroom does not have a toilet. That problem is solved by walking 1 metre outside your bedroom door to the main bathroom. I walk more than that to my own ensuite back home. Be careful walking up and down the staircase as it is a little steep and narrow (part of the charm). The remaining two bedrooms are very small with single beds. There is no room for more, so this is definitely a 4 person accommodation. Should you book this place - definitely.

Location couldn't be better! Able to easily walk to where we needed to go. Beautiful views! Very clean and welcoming!
