"Great location, very quirky cottage."

7.0

Great location in Padstow. Beautiful bathroom.

Very steep stairs to get to the bedroom. Bathroom on opposite side of the cottage which isn’t practical. If you are in the bedroom you have to come down a set of steep stairs, walk to the other side of the cottage and go up a further set of spiral stairs. Not good in the middle of the night. I know there isn’t much you can probably do about the layout however this wasn’t made clear in the cottage details.

The pictures or discripton dont show the very steep deep stairs leading to the first bedroom, the narrow deep stairs with no handrail leading to the second bedroom. No where does it state you have to come down the stairs through the property and up another flight of stairs to the toilets( these stairs are the only ones they show a photo of). The pictures of the garden are very out of date, the garden needs a good clean and fix up. They never mentioned the building works taking place next door till after the full amount was paid and it was too late to find somewhere else, so every morning we awoke before 8 am To banging and shouting. Not a relaxing or peaceful break. We ended up paying for a member of the family to stay 15 minutes away, and coming home a day early as we had enough of the building works going on next door.

"Not as advertised"

The location

The property is in poor state of repair with filthy Stane’s walls and furniture, the outside area is dangerous and falling apart, lay out of the house is strange with bedrooms up one set of very steep stairs and the toilet/shower room the other end of the house , Was only told days before arrival that next doors renovation was taking longer than expected but on arrival it was clear that was a lie and it was new building being put up that had months to completion, could not stay in house from 0830 due to noise of the builders and young daughters in top bedroom had to keep window and blinds shut due to builders on roof at the window level building the new house next door could see right in to them , have complained to company but they will just fob you off.

"Highly recommended, great location, just check for mobility issues"

8.0

absolutely wonderfully quaint and characterful property, very well stocked with kitchen equipment etc, and lovely ornamentation. The location is incredible, literally a 2 minute walk into the shops, bars and restaurants in Padstow. Beautiful rustic back/yard garden with lots of flowers and plants, furniture and bbq. Very good communications from the hosts.

It wasn't a problem for us, but the property has very steep stairs to the first and second floors from the entrance hallway, and a separate wooden spiral staircase leading off the kitchen on the other side of the property to reach the bathroom, so someone with limited mobility would find this property unsuitable, especially if needing a night-time toilet trip! The back garden is similarly challenging with lots of steps.

"Location, great equipment"

9.0

Great location, near church and all restaurants etc. Parking is available 5 min walk. House has everything. Kitchen great equipment. Huge bathroom. Garden is long and clean. House split in two parts- one is with two bedrooms. Stairs to second bedroom are quit narrow and high, very old style, might be problem for some people. Second part of the house contains living room, kitchen and bathroom. What we did not like a lot is that to go to bathroom from bedroom you need to go downstairs, cross living room and walk up again. Overall we are very happy with cottage.

Distance from bedrooms to bathroom. Height of steps for second bedroom.
