Booking amount and payment amount doesn’t match paid 13.000,00 SLR, ask for bill and staff said get it in to the other hotel, According my booking to pay EUR 40,25 but claimed EUR 42,61. Exchange rate are 305,10

The host was friendly even though he didn’t speak almost any english. Not far from city center. It is cheap.

Be aware that 24h reception means 24h call center! We specified at what time we’ll be at hostel but when we arrived it was empty. After calling provided phone number we were assured that “someone is comming”. After 30 minutes we called again, this time someone else answered the phone and asked if we are in Colombo!!! After explaining that we are at Jaffna we heard someone is comming for second time. Next twenty minutes. I found different number on reception desk. Different person, third “someone is comming” that evening. We waited five more minutes and receptionist finaly arrived. He didnt speak english, didnt know anything about our reservation but he gave us a key and we payed him for our stay beforehand. The bathroom wasn’t clean. The shower head was almost clogged. Bed sheet had some spots, but it was washed so we didnt mind that much. There wasn’t any mosquito net. Only window leads to entrance hall with light turned on 24/7 and it didnt have any drapes The hotel is right next to railway. Good thing is there were no trains during the night but first train leaves 6:35 (at least on weekend) and it will wake you up.
