There was a bad smell everywhere and in a room, stains on the curtain, the shower and toilet were not clean, in general we didn’t feel safe, not a good area to stay, only one toilet for several rooms

USSo on arrival, with my 50 pound bag and a very badly sprained ankle, I arrived to find – at no fault of the hosts – the building’s elevator was being replaced. The apartment is four flights up. When the host learned that I was struggling with my bag, he ran right over to help me. I also saw the host cleaning every day. The apartment had character. I especially loved the red Spanish tile in the bathroom, but I think it needs some sealing. The room was small, but exactly what I needed and paid for. Don’t come into the apartment and say it’s dirty—especially for the reasonable price. He cleans. He also leaves snacks out each day. The host was also kind enough to prepare a make shift ice pack for my ankle. The other shower is newer.
One of the other guests kept smoking but that’s not the hosts fault.
