The View - Lake Resort & Spa

The view was indeed spectacular. Lovely scenery with deer roaming around freely in the nearby fields.

It was not as relaxing as we hoped. Room isolation was very bad. We could hear our neighbours even from the spa area, which was 2 floors down. Also in the evening, on the terrace it was noisy and everyone seemed to be doing whatever they wanted. I guess it's the customer's level of education.... We then realized that we were looking for peace and quiet and this place cannot offer it. The food comes frozen from a nearby city. There's very few things that are prepared there. Also, for the price requested, we would have appreciated more care and at least a complementary bottle of water. The house seems to be pretty new but inside the bathroom you can see a lot of imperfections and areas that need better cleaning.

I liked the view

The room didn't have AC , the pool wasn't warm , the place doesn't look like in the photos , the water from showers has a horrible smell , the grass wasn't cut , the view is not excellent but it's fine , don't come if you have a lowered car because the road is very bad . Overall the house looks like it's not finished yet , needs work , it's not worth the money , go somewhere else

The location of this villa is absolutely fantastic, you are in the middle of nature, surrounded only by the forest and a few traditional houses. There's also a stream of water very close to the villa which alongside the songs of the birds provides a super relaxing soundscape. We were very lucky to only have to share the property with another couple, the rest of the rooms being unoccupied during our stay. This made it super special and we thoroughly enjoyed our first day there, being able to enjoy the peace and quiet and not be disturbed by anyone or have to share the facilities with larger groups. The other brilliant point was the upper deck which has a direct and undisturbed view over the Bicaz reservoir and the Ceahlău mountains, perfect spot to lounge all day and read a book or just relax in the hammock or the sun chairs provided. The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean, we had plenty of toiletries available. The upper level also has an open space library/ gym area which is perfect for a stretch in the morning or a night cap in the evening.

There were some unfortunate events that hindered our experience and it's such a shame as they are simple management changes that could be improved: 1. The villa is advertised as a pension with an on-site restaurant. What is not mentioned is that food needs to be ordered in advance and the last meal (dinner) is served at 5pm . There is no one on site after this. Make sure you bring some supplies if you arrive later and you've not eaten as the closest supermarket is about 20-30 mins drive and there aren't a lot of restaurants around. 2. There is no coffee maker/ kettle / fridge in the room either. If you are an early bird and have your coffee / tea as soon as you wake up you'll be disappointed. The "restaurant" opens at 9am when the lady who looks after the property arrives. A simple kettle and some instant coffee sachets in the communal area could fix this. As for storing the food we ended up buying, we found out the next day from one of the other guests that we could have used the communal fridge in the catering area. This wasn't communicated when we checked in. I wonder if other facilities were available to use that we weren't aware of... 3. Our second (and last) day of our stay was unfortunately ruined by the maintenance work done by the owner and his help around the property. From 1pm until late in the evening, there was a constant loud noise either caused by the lawnmower or some drilling and banging in the back. I raised this when we left and whilst I understand the excuse that weather conditions weren't appropriate to do this sooner, it's also not fair on the guests who go there to relax and pay premium price for peace and quiet to have to suffer. We had to leave the property in the afternoon as we couldn't take it any longer. Then at night we couldn't rest either as there were power cuts due to faulty electrics and the lights in the room kept resetting.

Great and pastoral location, close to the lake, quiet, view, amazing balcony, the hotel owner is a smiling, kind man, an exemplary host, he spoiled us with a bottle of home-made wine, an interesting conversationalist. He made sure the facilities worked to our satisfaction. Breakfast, fresh eggs. It was very good.

Comfortable rooms, nice spa, amazing views. Different activities that you can opt for.
