"Apart from the accessibility issues I would have no hesitation in recommending the accomodation."

The apartment was very clean, well maintained and comfortable, in a nice area. On the Sunday we were there it appeared safe and quiet.

Firstly, access signage needs to be improved. Street number '38 not found, nor the name 'Umhlanga Loft'. A building name was provided but no clear entrance to parking garage. An unmarked roll down shutter door, closed, with no visible signage or attendant was the actual entrance We eventually gained access when a stranger entered the parking and called the attendant for us. Secondly, access to the key lockbox was not immediately clear. When the code is set, the bottom half of the lockbox needs to be pulled forward and down to reveal the keys. Thirdly, the unmarked switch located on the wall above the stove needed switching on to operate the stove. It was very stiff and required two hands to put it in the down position, so without the host's consent, one would not automatically attempt this for fear of damaging the switch. All three of these difficulties required a separate call to the host, but she handled each query promptly and pleasantly.

"It was a pleasant stay apart from the heat, i would not recommend this accommodation in the summer."

I did not enjoy the fact that fact that the apartment was so hot, the air cooler was not sufficient for the space.

Well located and within walking distance to Gateway mall. Secure parking with direct access to elevators. Host was attentive and addressed all our needs

Apartment got very hot and the evaporative cooler was inadequate for Durban summers.
