Very nice and clean with everything you need

The bed was too soft and could be bigger

Easy access with the lockbox, which meant that the check in process was very easy. The cottage was spotless & although a little dated had absolutely everything we needed. The bathroom was clean with plenty of space. The kitchen was clean, had a great range of pots, pans, cooking utensils etc & there was plenty of tea, coffee and sugar for cuppas for the duration of our stay. The bed was super comfy & we slept very well. A lovely quiet village, despite there being 2 pubs just a few doors down. The location was fab. The Manor Inn pub serves absolutely delicious food too, so very handy as it’s a few doors down from the cottage & the post office/shop across the street was ideal to stock up on the essentials. We throughly enjoyed our stay & would return.

Sofa isn’t the comfiest, but given it’s a relatively small cottage, the options probably aren’t that great. It’s comfy enough to sit for short periods of time though and we were out and about for the majority of our stay so it wasn’t an issue at all. 1 toilet roll supplied for the 4 night stay. Again not an issue as it is a self catering cottage & we just nipped across the road to buy some more. Neither of this slight downsides would stop us from returning though. It’s a great little cottage in a fab location ideal for exploring the local area & the western Lake District.

*Location was problematic *No parking available at night when we returned *The scaffolding was very very unsightly and we were not warned about this prior to our visit *We got a nail in our front car tyre and we had to change it despite the fact it was a new type this cost us 115 sterling the nail we expect was located outside the door when we brought the car up from the station car park … we were very distraught and annoyed * the sensor light was not Woking when we arrived and we found it extremely difficult to open the key box at the back door * The TV free view was absolutely awful we couldn’t relax to watch the TV very limited stations to choose from * the lounge sofa very very uncomfortable * it would have been nice to have milk available in the fridge when we arrived as a welcome gesture. * extra pillows more then the standard two as requested would have been welcomed

Cottage is Nice Except for the Bed which is Creaky and not Stable.

Bed is Creaky and Rickety so it was Difficult to Sleep. Being Woken Up at 5.30am Every Morning by Delivery Van and 1am in the Morning by Drunk People on 5 Occasions. Neighbours Dog is Aggressive and Barks and Growls at Guests in the Back Courtyard. Scaffolding Up at the Back and Front of the Cottage for the Duration of My Stay and the Men were Banging and Drilling and Shouting and Swearing for 6 Hours on the Third Day of My Stay. Vans Parked Outside the Cottage Banging and Slamming the Doors Day 24/7. I did Want to Check Out on Day 14 because of Lack of Sleep because of the Bed and the Noise but the Owners would not Give Me a Refund for the Remaining 7 Days which is Unreasonable Given the Circumstances.
