Dimora del '500 in Zona Santa Croce

The rooms were big and spacious and the decoration was very pretty. The location to the centre was very convenient. There was plenty of storage in the apartment.

A very pretty and aesthetic apartment. There was no dishwasher in the kitchen and a real problem with the power in the property, for example, if you put on more than 2 appliances at a time, the power would short circuit. It made things very inconvenient, especially when cooking, the power kept going off all the time. We were reprimanded by the host for having our cat with us, which he only discovered at the end of the stay. It was very hard to find the information on booking.com to say that you had to notify the host in advance if you were bringing pets (I went back to check, you had to search for the rules in the a drop down menu). The host had listed his apartment as 'allowing pets'. Either the host shouldn't list the property as 'allowing pets' if her really isn't happy to or booking.com should offer another filter to say animals allowed upon request or at an extra charge, this should be very clear on the listing. We were told off for what was a very innocent mistake and it made things very uncomfortable as the owner seemed to think we were trying to 'get one past him'. Finally, The bed was terrible, it creaked very very loudly with the slightest movement and it was not sturdy, so if you turned over, the bed would sway a bit. Sleep was hard to come by, not recommended for light sleepers!

Good location, one step down into appartment, separate bedroom from dining/living room.

Limited hot water (so take short showers). While supplied with earplugs, there is street traffic and tradies that can make some noise. Limited natural light.

Excellent location in the old city. Paid parking was an easy walk and liked that it was on a side street but only a couple blocks from the gorgeous architecture where all the people are hanging out. Our host was very nice and very responsive to questions and even stopped by with laundry detergent and recommendations about where to eat and what to see in Lecce. The apartment is huge, exactly as pictured. The bathroom is off the kitchen making it very private.

Only to say, keep in mind staying anywhere within Lecce city center is composed of stone ground, walls and buildings so outside sounds echo in.
