The apartment was beautiful, spacious, and spotless, located in the heart of Matera's historic center. The owner, Sergio, is a truly wonderful person – incredibly helpful and hospitable. Thanks to him, we were able to discover the hidden gems of Basilicata. He guided us around the region, sharing the fascinating history behind many places. He also arranged excursions to remote towns we wouldn't have been able to reach without a car – plus, he even gave us Italian lessons! It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Italy from a completely different perspective – with the best guide we could have imagined. Thanks to his help, we were also able to capture some amazing drone footage. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We liked everything! Location of the apartment is perfect, not in the busy street, but few steps to the Sassi. Apartment is spacious and convenient with possibility to cook. Great atmosphere, cozy decorated with various pieces of art. Sergio is a fantastic host! Took us to a small roadtrip around Matera, explained history, showed us many nice things. On a last day he even took us to the bus. Highly recommend staying here :)

A very spacious appartment filled with art a few meters from the entry to the Sassi. The best part was the host Sergio who took us for a great driving tour of surrounding historical sites, a wonderful cave church covered with frescoes, the Palomba sculpture garden filled with Antonio Paradiso's work and a walk along the gravina to visit rock hewn caves. And he took us to the best foccacia bakery of Matera....

Wish we had more time for Matera itself. It is an amazing rock city.

Andrea & her husband was kind & helpful with us, making the process of reservation welcoming. The house is clean, and cozy decorated. All the facilities you need. We like because is very spacious. If you need to stay in Matera close to old town, I recommend this house! 💫👌
