Traditional house, you have a choice of sleeping on a bed or futons. Nice living room to congregate, traditionally, on the floor.

The shower location could use a bit more privacy for dressing/undressing, like a courtain to separate it from the hallway to the back yard.

Easy access to buses. The location was great. There were local convenience stores, super markets, bakery and Mister Gyoza down the street was delicious. It was also really quiet and easy to find.

A little hard to have lots of luggage as we didn’t want to put our bags on the tatami mats. We kept our bags downstairs in the kitchen/laundry.

Host was super friendly, welcoming and helpful

Slightly uncomfortable but I think that is just because we are spoilt as foreigners

The main bed was very comfortable. The shower is hot with great water pressure. Decorations were charming and fun. Quiet neighborhood. Note that the stairs are very steep!

Furniture was dusty and there weren't any hangers - tricky to dry clothes (though the washing machine worked well!). Took about 40 minutes to get to most tourist attractions- if I booked again I'd pick a more central location, and a place with a sofa or chairs. Our American bones were too stiff to sit on the floor all week!
