Overall I think this was a very good stay. We got an exceptionally good price, so my expectations were low to be honest, but the property and host exceeded our expectations. Jackie, the host, was great and so friendly and helpful. The property is easy to get to and had parking available in the driveway at the front of the house. The property was kept very clean throughout the duration of our stay and we were very happy. There is only 2 rooms at the property for guests, so it will not be a very busy or crowded property. Honestly in our 5 night stay, there were a couple of days where we didn't see anyone all day, including the host. You could hear the host in the private areas (not noisy, just aware there was someone there).

I only want to mention a few things that I feel people should know before booking or that have been mentioned in previous reviews to provide our opinion. At the price charged, these points do not warrant complaint and we were very happy. 1. Unfortunately there are no longer cooking and laundry facilities available despite the listing saying shared kitchen. This is due to repeated damages caused by previous guests, so I completely understand. Jackie did happily allow us use of the microwave when I enquired if that was OK. 2. Previous reviews have commented on a smell of cigarette smoke. We are non smokers, so I will admit that there was a smell of fresh smoke at times when the outdoor smoking area was being used as it travelled inside via windows ect. However the house did NOT have the horrible constant stale smoke smell that often accompanies this and would clear when the smoking was over. 3. Another thing I have seen in previous reviews is the mattress being uncomfortable. We did find the mattress a bit uncomfortable but we weren't paying an expensive rate so weren't expecting 5* luxury. Please manage your expectations with how much you pay. 4. Again there were mentions of window nets being torn and generally poor condition of the property. There were some small tears in the net on the windows, but overall the property was in a good clean condition. Net curtains tear easily. Please don't expect 5* property with an exceptionally low price. The property was actually cleaner and better condition than when we stayed in the hilton hotel. It was in great condition compared to many of our other experiences in hotels or b&bs.
