The place is a gem. The apartment was beautiful very clean. Has everything you need. Close to all the restaurants and shops and bars. Sigurour is a fabulous host and gave clear directions to the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment for a couple or family you will not be disappointment.

Nothing everything was perfect.

"Great stay in Reykjavik"

9.0

We had a great stay. Tastefully decorated with all the necessary utensils to make simple meals. Really nothing to complain about. Parking available in front of the building. Supermarket around the corner.

Not much of a view but hardly expected in the middle of the town. The rental fee was expensive but then Reykjavik is an expensive destination. Not in the middle of downtown but you can buy what you may need close to the apartment.

"Do Not Recommend - Beware Shady Property Manager"

1.0

Basic, clean apartment, although, I think listing this place as having a “mountain view” and “sea view” is a stretch as the view from all sides is predominantly buildings in poor repair, graffiti, and excessive trash. You can see a bit of the mountains and sea if you squint over the top of all of that first.

I would NOT recommend this property because the property manager, Sigurdur Finnsonn, is dishonest and unethical. As a regular Booking.com customer, I’ve never had as shady of an experience as I had with Mr. Finnsonn. The property is listed as a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment which appeared to suit our needs and I paid in full. After my brother and I with our spouses were checked in and settled into the apartment, Mr. Finnsonn approached us in the hallway on our way out to dinner demanding that I pay him $200 cash more because he said the apartment price was higher for 4 people and that I’d broken a house rule. Admittedly, I had my Booking.com profile set for 2 people when I did the apartment search and didn’t know they required an update to the number of people because NOWHERE in the listing was there anything stated about higher price for 4 people. He intimidated me into paying him cash, saying he didn’t have another way to take payment and that he’d kick us out if I didn’t pay. He said it would require extra work (and charge) to ready the second bedroom and that only one of the bedrooms was ready for my visit, therefore requiring the extra fee. What? This felt like a scam since we had corresponded in the Booking.com chat prior to my visit that I was going to be with my brother. Was he expecting my brother and me to share one bed? Further, Mr. Finnsonn filed a complaint with Booking.com after we’d left, stating that we had broken a house rule and lying that we had not paid. I thought this was bold, since there were 4 of us as witnesses and photos of this man taking my cash in the hallway outside the apartment. Booking.com agrees that this man behaved unprofessionally. They are trying to assist me in the return of the cash but after 2 weeks of their attempts to reach him, Mr. Sigurdur Finnsonn has ignored their inquiries.

The room was spacious and very clean. It was the best apartment hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I highly recommend staying here. The apartment was well-equipped with dishes and kitchen utensils, allowing our family to cook with ingredients we bought from the supermarket. The location is great, with easy access to the city. Having a Bonus supermarket nearby was also convenient. You can park freely in front of the apartment.

"Beautiful apartment near downtown Reykjavik"

10.0

The apartment was quiet and clean. I liked the proximity of stores, a brewery, and some restaurants. Having streaming on the TV was a plus too for our child. We liked having extra towels as well in the bathroom vs just 1/person. The kitchen setup was very nice with supplied pots/pans/dishes, etc.

There were only a few parking spaces in front of the building, so we had to park across the street (host did tell us one of those spots was available for the apartment, but it was hard to tell which one) and move later. The shower, while depressed, still did get water about the bathroom (but that could have been user error). It was also a bit of a walk into downtown Reykjavik, but not a bad one,

"Nice apartment on the outskirts of town"

10.0

The apartment was nice, roomy and clean. We loved the parking right out front. The managers allowed for early check in which was really nice.

The location was a little far for walking downtown (just over a mile to the harbor) and outside was a bit of a construction zone. But neither a big deal for us. We would stay again.
