USI loved the proximity to great restaurants and bars. The decor and size of the room was great! Free Onsite laundry, was a plus! And the coffee maker and bag of coffee from the shop downstairs was a really nice touch!
This specific room had a lot of noise, as it is directly below the laundry room on 4. I selected this room for the desk and layout that I saw in the photo, but it wasn’t the room pictured in the listing for room 310.
USUSIt's a nice old building and the rooms have been done up in a modern and comfortable way. Checking in was easy. There are no keys. You are given a code which opens the main door and the room door. There is a variety of seating in the lobby and it's possible to sit and work. There is a very nice coffee / pastry bar attached to the lobby and some outside seating as well in a kind of small plaza area with several restaurants & bars.
The downside to having no lobby staff is that resolving problems happens slowly. The WiFi wasn't working on the evening I arrived -- I wrote to the management through the app, as directed, but didn't receive an answer back until the next day. They had had a technician there that evening who managed to get things going, but it required a restart on the user end, which I didn't find out about until the next day. Also, when I got up in the morning I realized that the room didn't have a bath towel. I got dressed and asked another guest if there was a supply room. There was, and my code opened that door as well, but the towel shelf was empty. Messaged management again. They apologized, updated me on the internet, and sent a message to the service that more towels were needed. I picked one up when I returned to the hotel at the end of the day. I got the sense that management did honestly care about the problems. It would have been smoother and less of a hassle though, if someone were at the site.
