Ski In/Out - Zalanta - Great Location- 2 Hot Tubs - Heated Pool

The hosts were available via text throughout our entire stay. They were attentive and responsive and answered our questions as well as provided great ideas of what to do with the family!

This property is really fabulous- comfortable beds, great space, lovely balcony, kitchen with everything you need, great fireplace.

Unfortunately- there was maintenance being done on the hot tubs- the day after we arrived they were drained to be re plastered- this meant the hot tubs, pool and the balcony were all out of action due to dust and noise. Normally we’d have been out all day anyway but with some of us working and some trapped at property without a car it was pretty disruptive and disappointing. However- when we explained the situation to management they tried very hard to make it right and paid for our group to go on a sunset lake cruise as compensation. Still very frustrating for the price paid for the week but just one of those unfortunate things.

The location is perfect, with shops, restaurants, and Lakeside Beach within easy walking distance. (Casinos are also only a block or two away, but we did not visit any.) The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious. It felt roomy and comfortable, even for our large group. The kitchen is well-equipped and we enjoyed using the gas grill on the balcony for cooking out. We also enjoyed the large variety of table games for cooler evenings. The tram and discount vouchers to Lakeside Beach were a nice unexpected plus. The outdoor pool, two hot tubs, and exercise room were wonderful and we spent many hours in them when it was too cold or late to get out. The onsite parking lot is easy to access, making packing up for day trips a breeze. The front desk staff was extremely positive and helpful, providing great suggestions and tips for enjoying Lake Tahoe. The hosts were also wonderful; they replied promptly and happily assisted us with everything we needed. Everyone in our group agreed that staying at Zalantra was one of the highlights of our trip!

The resort is exceptional. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming on each arrival and departure. The whole resort is immaculate and clean, with high end furnishing and superb pool and hot tub areas. Free Nature Valley bars in the lobby, which were great to grab and take on a hike. Perfect location central to Heavenly Resort (superb pizza nearby at Basecamp Pizza). Room was absolutely stunning. Superb furnishings, huge space in all living areas, and large balcony overlooking the pool. We would definitely stop here again (out of interest we also checked how much it would be to buy a condo in the resort - $1.6m).

Very minor things (in no way would impact our decision to revisit again, as we'll definitely be back) - the waste disposal button was broken (worked but kept coming off), the bedroom closet door was loose and came off the hinge, no information on where to put trash/recycling, and there was no information about free/discounted access to local beaches (terrible that there are private and chargeable beach areas, but apparently local hotels give free passes, but we weren't offered this, so never visited those beaches).

The place was very clean, spacious and well appointed. Bathrooms were very nice and stocked with soap/shampoo etc. Kitchen had pots/pans so we could cook meals. There was drip coffee available and dish soap/dish washer detergent. Smart tv in living room so we could stream movies. Washer/dryer with laundry detergent. There was a pack and play for our 9 month old son. Ski valet downstairs was super nice so we didn’t have to lug snowboards to our room. The lobby has a coffee/hot cocoa maker and sparkling/still water dispenser and granola bars, Gatorade, and sunscreen; all complimentary so you could stay hydrated, protected and fed for a day on the slopes. Housekeeping was also available to help. Staff was all so friendly.

The only thing that could have made our stay even better was a high chair for our son but this rental was superb.
