Suite 9 - Sleeping Giant Hotel - Pen Y Cae Inn

A nice clean room on arrival.

For the price I think breakfast should be included. Check in times are later than your average hotel.

Location was great. Set back from the road so no noise. Breakfast was great. There are some superb golf courses within an hours drive.

The light switches took a little time to figure out. Especially the night stands.

The apartment is spacious, modern and stylish, with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and underfloor heating in the bathroom. It also offers plenty of parking, although it is not secure. The barman was great and very friendly. Great little zoo at the back.

There was no hot water available either in the evening or the next morning, leaving me unable to wash after a long day on my motorcycle. Despite paying for breakfast, none was provided. They normally serve it from 7:30 am, but they refused to serve me until 8 am, even though I had informed them the day before that I needed to leave early. I was told there was no kitchen staff available. Additionally, the restaurant stopped serving food at 7:30 pm and closed by 8:30 pm, which left me searching for another place to eat in the rain at 8 pm. The host was extremely unresponsive, not replying to my messages until after I checked out the following day. Comments such as “you can leave your motorcycle at your own risk” and “speak with staff in the bar to sort out your breakfast” I see as borderline rude. They sent check-in information at 2 am when I was already in the property and sleeping and only responded about the lack of hot water at 2 pm the next day, long after I had checked out at 8 am.

The surroundings were lovely, quiet and peaceful, the rescued animals were lovely too

Lovely chilled place, warm and welcoming. Hop and a skip to the pub which provided lovely food.

The staff at the Inn were very friendly which was refreshing and welcoming after a long drive. The rooms were pleasant and very comfortable, quiet and the heating warmed the room perfectly!

It was my birthday whilst there and despite sharing this with staff there was no extra 'mile' travelled or even a birthday discount to use on a return trip.

Beautiful rooms - Perfect bathroom. Very friendly staff - Thoroughly recommend the breakfast. Bed was amazingly comfortable
