'The Stables' (Tigh Mary)

This property is a dream! Book it. The owners were lovely. It was an incredibly peaceful quiet place to stay. No air conditioning. Roads are narrow but there is nothing like the Irish country side, it was adventure! 10 mins from Galway and parking. We took a ferry to the aran islands and the.port is a short easy drive from this property. I hope to return again!!!! Lovely! Book it now!

No public transport into Galway city. Each taxi cost 25 euro. I only recommend if your driving as if you add the extra cost of taxis it world equate to a hotel in the city centre. Your in the middle of countryside so car would be essential

Delightful family farm with sensitively developed accommodation of farm buildings. Donkeys, sheep and cows all on the fields between the apartment and the distant lough.

A bit airless on a warm night but otherwise nothing. Accommodation lovely.

Really cute accomodation, ample car parking for guests, well appointed, nice and clean and beautiful hosts, though I missed the donkeys as they were in another paddock Rooms were dark and we slept well. Shower was nice as well. Apple maps doesn't have this accommodation location quite right, also its a ways from town and would easily be a 20 euro trip each if you didn't have a hire car/ mode of transport so that needs to be considered if you are booking.

The bed IS small, though my wife and I werent uncomfortable and we are used to KING size beds... beds seem small across Ireland. The rooms are not well sound proofed between them, however this wasnt a showstopper and we didnt feel uncomfortable. I wanted to go for a walk to the loch, however I didnt know if I would be intruding on the host and there was nothing to say I could/couldnt so I didnt.
