Cottage 446 - Letterfrack

Meer, Hügel, Schafe, Idylle: sensationell. Das Cottage hat diverse Zimmer, in denen man verweilen kann.

Man sollte nicht direkt zu Fuss starten. Die Strassen sind eng und mit hoher Geschwindigkeit befahren. Es gibt keine Erschliessung mit Fusswegen.

The views from the house are exceptional.

The property had a strong damp, musty smell from the moment we arrived, and it never improved during our stay. We tried airing out the house and using plug ins and diffusers, but nothing worked. A dehumidifier was already present, suggesting the owners are aware of the issue, yet it made no difference. The flat roof windows leak when it rains. The bathrooms were particularly poor. There are no radiators, so they were always freezing, and no extractor fans, which likely worsens the damp problem. The shower mats were also dirty, and even the toilet paper became damp due to the moisture in the bathrooms.

Not included

Local caretaker easier to contact. No one ever met us for things we needed. Home was without toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.

A beautiful cottage, in a beautiful location, beautifully clean, and fulfilling all our requirements in full.

There's nothing NOT to like!

it was a great spot to start day trips. It would be nice to pay less if only 2 people use the house. We got great tips by the owners on our way to the house (food truck just opposite near the pier); wonderful view, very quiet in the evening. Altogether an amazing place.

in one of the bedrooms it smelled a bit damp after one night of rain - need to be checked for mould. It would be great to have some firewood prepared for the first evening - one does not need much. More hooks in the bathroom for hanging up towels to dry. Also a table cloth to keep everything tidy.

The fire place - we had to purchase our own fire wood lighters ect. I feel it should have been provided. Especially for the first night.

View and location were perfect

I wish they had left some paper towels or a sponge for the sink in the kitchen and some sugar. Also a box of tissues would be nice, an extra bath towel. The dishwasher was filled with dishes. A book with instructions on how the heating works and what to do when we leave.
