2202 Oceans Apartment - by Stay in Umhlanga

Location and ambiance

Microwave was broken and I was not informed till I wanted to use it. That was then I realized Microwave is not working.

The property was neat

There was no notice of when there’s load shedding, we had to have a cold shower, the owner was blunt with his messages to us. There was no clear instructions that towels are not provided and will only be washed after 5 days! it’s shocking that towels must be used for 5 days before it is washed and replaced.

This might be one of the best accommodations in Umhlanga. My best friend and I spent 3 nights at this apartment and we were blown away with how beautiful the apartment is. It was tastefully decorated and had all the necessary crockery and appliances to cook up a storm. I enjoyed cooking and having breakfast on the balcony, I loved the luxurious, comfortable bed and appreciated the house keeping services-who was exceptional. The host was responsive, pleasant and provided detailed instructions for arrival and check-in. I hope to be back soon!

The Oceans Apartment front desk staff were not professional and warned my friend that I that we could not swim using bikinis and that they will watch us on the cctv. They advised that they were instructed on this from their Manager. We felt awful after this experience, spoke to the host and Raddison staff who were shocked that we were informed this. Raddison managers informed me that there is no such rule. We were then later apologised to, but it just ruined my day and we didn’t swim on that day. There was no accountability, outcome or sincerity from the Oceans Apartment Staff.

I loved everything about the apartment. The location was the best!

During Loadshedding there were no rechargeable lights provided. The apartment was dark during loadshedding. (especially the bathroom where there were no windows.)

Hermann is always available. Friendly and efficient. The accommodation was as advertised, neat, comfortable and well located. I would recommend this unit.

Brand new unit. The shower head needed to be tightened, but it was sorted out immediately after being reported.
