Cosy Cottage in Hebden, 3BR, Views, Pet Friendly

Great location, walk in to Hebden Bridge was down a steep hill, also a nice walk to Hardcastle Crags on our doorstep. 3 great sized bedrooms and kitchen had everything we needed for our trip

First impression outside the property was a broken tile slate on the floor, main door was very dirty which filled you with dread. Inside bedrooms was clean and bathroom, living room the table needed repainted and also old furniture under the TV was full of mould in a draw or that’s what it looks like. While we was there it was drizzling and the leak in the gutter is just outside the door entrance which you have to avoid.

The property was beautifully situated only a short walk from the town centre. It had beautiful views to the rear which we enjoyed from the living room and main bedroom windows. Overall it was well-priced for the time we spent there and the hosts provided a lot of information on check-in to help us navigate the house and explore the area.

Unfortunately, there were a few small issues. The hosts left only a small amount of toilet roll and no spare rolls, so we had to head straight to the shops on arrival. The property is fitted throughout with quite thin light pink curtains, which means that the bedrooms are flooded with light late into the evening and early in the morning. Which isn't ideal with young kids! And, although generally clean, there were some dead flies throughout the property which needed cleared up also.

The kitchen,living room and bedrooms are all beautifully decorated,very clean and spacious,they were calming colours,which made you relaxed and feel welcomed. The house was in a great location not too long from the town centre. In walking distance. Quiet area didn't get woken by cars or neighbours, beautiful view.kitchen with good appliances/ cutlery all worked and clean. The bedrooms were very spacious calming space very comfortable sofa and bed. The bathroom nicely decorated and clean. My friend said the shower was lovely.had and great stay! Will definitely go back! Very reasonable pricing.

There was some rubbish/ bins with slight over growth near the front door but that is the only negative if any.

Close to town

Would sleep 6 but not enough equipment for so many. Only 3 of us but found it lacking in some essentials. Outside area was a big disappointment!

The glasses and mugs in the property were plentiful. The sofas are really stylish and comfortable. An effort has been made with the decor. We appreciated having a small bottle of milk left for us and the ice cubes in the freezer.

It was not made at all clear that the terrace in the photos is not attached to the property. No information was provided as to where the terrace was. When we located what we thought was the terrace the chairs and table were not set up, they were turned over, giving a very unloved and not hugely welcoming feeling. We were really dissapointed re this as we had brought board games with us to play on the terrace. Also there were only 2 chairs - 3 of us were staying at the property. No information booklet was provided re the property which we all thought odd, this would have been helpful for things such as the central heating instructions. No kitchen roll provided, this would be helpful. One half of the toaster does not work correctly. It would be really handy to have salt and pepper provided. The table in the living room requires a glass cover over the rattan as it is unusable to place drinks on. The bath does not drain well.

We had a very comfortable stay. Nicely furnished property, plenty of room and very clean. Great views and only a short walk to the centre of Hebden Bridge. The hosts were quick to respond to any queries and provided helpful suggestions for places to visit and eat.

There was no outside space to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather that we were lucky to experience.

This is a lovely traditional property. The house had everything you could need for a short stay. Beautiful views overlooking the Hebden Valley. The house is a 10 minute or so walk up the hill away from the town centre.

Parking is on-street which might be difficult in busier months but we were able to park relatively easily.
