Forest Lodge - 80 mts from Mall Road

Except the view from window there's nothing good.

Water issue. Too away from main road. It was down the hill. Management not good.

I suggest everyone who wants to book room in forest lodge please don’t book your room ….after booking also they don’t respond on cal n after we reach there they said that lodge is under mantainc and they don’t provide rooms ….very poor i repeat don’t book rooms

So let's start one by one 1) First let's appraise the view, I booked the view room . While going through the photos of the hotel in booking.com i didn't believe those photos to be real. But when I entered my room and encountered kanchenjunga's perfect view, I had to believe. Trust me it's worth it. 2) Now another important factor is the behaviour of homestay caretaker ( I am more comfortable calling him Bade bhaiyaa) He is such a nice and humble person. We very much liked his hospitality. When we first entered he asked us for a cup of tea all by his own. That's a rare thing in today's. Considering these factors i recommend everyone this homestay. But also consider the cons I have mentioned

The location is slightly off side. Like for example Hotel Dolphin is the nearest landmark to it. But it doesn't have a perfect entrance. We had to go all the way down through stairs to reach there. But for obvious reasons according to the price and view from hotel room. This amount of pain is worth it. And yeah, the location of the homestay in booking.com Is totally wrong. Please make sure to call on the number before visiting there.

Location of parking is little far as from hotel parking but the staff of hotel Named Nischal and Choden was too wise and good hotel expectations didn’t meet as we thought but the staff of the hotel made our expectations complete by giving us good treatment and care ..

Never suggest this Lodge.. you can't go there in vehicle and you will have to go via some dirty gully road steap steps and worse area to reach your hotel room. It does not feel like a lodge at the first place.. No breakfast options and you have only bread and I was that lucky I dint even get that.. Had to request them multiple times to provide something if they could provide and had to settle with limited amount of Maggi after bargaining. I don't recommend this stay even if you get it for 500rs per night.. Not worth at all.. not sure how booking.com suggests or is hosting this on their website.. Booking.com your value goes down on hosting such unhygienic and dirty lodges on your app or website..
