Dar Sam - Purple Room

The location is close to the beach and other attractions. Love the decoration too even though its a bit too crowded. Owner was very friendly and waited for us during our arrival. Check in process was so smooth.

The blanket is a bit smelly and the cutleries were dusty.

Has no private toilet despite being announced . However the shared toilet was clean and not busy

Shared bathroom, although we were the only people staying for a couple of nights so it didn't matter too much. Cleanliness is lacking throughout the property. Very dusty in the rooms, the room we stayed in on the top floor was very cluttered so I imagine harder to dust/ clean. The terrace could do with washing and sweeping. Overall for the price we paid it met expectations.

Dar Sam is a beautiful house in a lovely, authentic and quiet area. The room is fully equipped with whatever you may need for comfort, there is hot water and it was clean. Lovely terrace to sit out on top too.

one of the towels was not clean but I guess that was an accident

Great communications from owner to help us find it. We took taxi from train station to hotel oudayas and it's just 5 min walk from there. Train station to hotel 15 min walk. Easy to find in medina as next to riad marhaba which is signposted well. Great location to visit all sights by foot. Few mins to small surfers beach. Nice roof terrace lots of things provided, toiletries, kettle, tea, coffee, hairdryer. No fridge but cool in the room. Large, well decorated room, quiet at night. Plenty of hot water.

Not particularly clean, bathroom foisty smell and the floor mats looked like they needed washing.. We got 2 single covers for 2 people on a double bed. 1 was extremely light and it was cold at night. We asked for another to make 3 single covers! We layered them over us. All mismatch colours and would've liked a top sheet. We stay in budget places around the world, wouldn't cost much for nicer linen. Remember to put your towels on terrace to dry or 24 hrs later they're still wet. No change in 3 nights. The room looked good at first but after 3 nts i couldn't bear the cold, damp feel and sleepless nights.ni felt like we smelled of wet dogs. It's like someone tried their hardest to make it nice but it just felt grubby. The covers were the worst anywhere we've been. Not good value compared to other places in Morocco.

Location convenient to Medina, Kasba and sea front

"private bathroom" is misleading, it is outside the room and downstairs. Dusty and very bad for my allergies.
