Close to a concert I was attending and other interesting places

It was advertised w/a Waterview, Mountainview, patio view. Gary stated, "If the trees were cut, you'd have a water view" When asked about the mountain view, which it didn't have, he responded "You're in the mountains. That's the view" When asked about the property being a landmark, Gary stated, "It IS a landmark, it was built in 1913" There are several pictures posted that lead one to believe the home is waterfront. It is not. He has no boat slip, and the choice for using my kayak, is either a very steep incline into the water, with nowhere to park. I would have had to leave my kayak, and take my truck back to the cabin. I wouldn't have minded that, but the loading area to the water wasn't safe. He showed me where the closest park is, which would have been okay, however, it wasn't what I expected. We had a bonfire on Friday night. He had a problem with the size of the fire, which was contained in the fireplace, and both my 35 year old daughter and I were watching it. He stated that only small fires were acceptable because it hadn't rained in 3 weeks. When my daughter told him the fire wasn't that big, he attempted to argue with her about the size of the fire. The grass was very high. He told me he would be cutting it on Sunday. I told him on Wednesday, when i arrived, i was very disappointed with the cabin, as it was not what he advertised. A number of his pictures that he has on his listing are misleading. There is a dresser and closet in the master bedroom, however, I had to remove all of the sheets in the dresser and put them in the closet to be able to unpack my clothes. The second bedroom, w/a queen-sized bed, had a comforter on it that was very dirty. My daughter, bought sheets, blankets, and pillows from Walmart, to use while she and her boyfriend were there.

This is an amazing quirky property in a wonderful location. Cosy fire, a juke box with unlimited plays, table football, all in a charming log cabin. Gary was a great host and gave us good recommendations for places to eat and drink. If you still have some of the Woodstock spirit don’t miss this one on your pilgrimage.
