This is not a complaint but it is quite away from shops and the village pub is quite a walk away so have to be organised as regards eating this would not put me off going back
GBHosts were very friendly and helpful. The place was quiet and secure, and just a minute's drive from the beautiful Wicken Fen (could be walked in about 15 minutes) which is National Trust nature reserve. We will definitely be back to do some cycles and boating in the spring or summer! As it was we had a lovely winter walk, and excellent chocolate and cherry scone in the cafe! We were 15 minutes from Newmarket and Ely and around 20 - 30 minutes from central Cambridge (depending on traffic) so ideal for both. The hosts were able to give recommendations and were very responsive with any query. The caravan is of course a caravan so not much insulation but the heating system was excellent, and there was an extra electric heater and blankets too so we were never cold. The kitchen was excellent with a gas cooker, grill and oven. There was plenty of cutlery, cooking equipment, kitchen roll, toilet paper and clean towels of various sizes.
The bed was soft and springy - maybe great for others but we like our beds firm - so just a heads up. We slept very well though and the bedding was very warm. We loved it and hope to be back soon :-)
GBGBFantastic facility for the money. Fully equipped kitchen with a small dinning table and a sitting room. I stayed here for a most of a week while working a nearby contract and it was ideal for that. The owners are very friendly and gave me some good tips for local restaurants and shopping.
The shower is temperamental, but the owners are looking into it, I'm sure they'll get it solved.
