The Lookout, Swanage - Flat 7

The apartment is modern, spacious and well appointed, with lovely balcony views down to the town and bay. A fairly short, albeit steep, walk down to town centre and start of beach bay area. Pint of milk and some treats provided for arrival was a very nice touch. Free secure parking was also a welcome bonus.

A full stand-in shower over the bath ensuite to the main bedroom would have been useful, in addition to the shower ensuite to the second bedroom. A microwave oven would also be a useful addition.

Perfekt ausgestattete Wohnung, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Erstklassige Küche mit Induktionsherd. Hervorragende Betten. Tiefgarage sehr gut, für sehr große Autos ist der Parkplatz von No.7 aber etwas eng - das stört aber nicht weiter, da es ringsum viele kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten gibt. Zu Fuß in die Innenstadt und an die tolle Badebucht sind es nur wenige Minuten (auf dem Rückweg muss man freilich den steilen Berg hoch, aber das ist nur ein kurzes Stück). Insgesamt eine fantastische Wohnung in einem schönen Städtchen in einer teils atemberaubend schönen Gegend. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

The apartment is very spacious - with good size bedrooms and an en-suite in both being a real bonus. Impeccably clean and lots of supplies for dishwasher/ washing machine. Our host was amazing and very accommodating!

Altogether a great apartment: well equipped, clean and comfortable and very quiet. A couple gripes as below, but these are minor. Hélène did additionally supply a couple of fans, to help so I feel a bit picky with my criticism.

We travelled by public transport and so my only reservation is the slog up the hill to get to St Vasts Road when arriving with bags. Also it was during a heatwave and it's great to ventilate the place, but leaving windows open when it's up to 30C outside is not a great idea (just a note for housekeeping). And a small grumble about the flat; the batheroom needs a towel rail.

It was clean, beautifully decorated, appointed and furnished. Very modern, light and ‘airy’, and both bedrooms had their own facilities which was great. Everything provided for comfort and relaxation. Loved the basement parking and lift access.

Nothing really, except that the steep climb up from the town wouldn’t suit everyone, especially those with limited mobility. Driving up and down to the town is not straightforward given the cost and availability of casual parking in the town. That said, if you are fit and don’t mind a short, sharp uphill walk, this would not be an issue.

The flat was furnished to a high standard and had lots of extras that you wouldn’t expect.

A microwave would have been useful.

Car park space a bit tight for getting baby in and out of car seat

The Lookout was a modern clean well finished apartment with quality items throughout. The beds were very comfortable with high quality bed linen. The lounge was comfortable and an easy place to relax. The kitchen was modern and well equipped with high quality items. The lift from the basement parking to the apartment on the top floor was a welcome feature. There are nice views of the beach and the bay from the lounge balcony. The main shopping area is only a 5 minute walk away, however it is a fairly short but steep uphill walk back.

we had a lovely week of warm weather. it's a modern building and retains the heat well. We had the windows and balcony doors open and this worked ok. For warmer months the apartment may benefit from room fans.
