Apartment 304 @ Ryedale House

The location was amazing and the facilities were great.we really enjoyed the apartment and its varied areas We would normally stay in a hotel but the apartment was excellent The photos did not do the place justice

Great location, clean, comfy beds

Location, layout, brightness, comfy beds, bathrooms … everything brilliant!

There wasn’t anything we disliked, just a couple more mirrors would have been useful.

this was a self contained apartment?

The apartment was disappointing on two main issues. The cleanliness was not up to a standard we would expect for the cost of the apartment and I had to use wipes to door handles, light switches and surfaces. There was an appalling smell coming up from the shower trap in the ensuite to the main bedroom, which we had to try to resolve with bleach. Clearly, not cleaned out regularly enough. The main disappointment was no hot water. Despite following the instructions left, we had no hot showers or hot water in the basins for the whole of the 3 night stay. Ended up boiling a kettle. It wasnt because we were all trying to shower at the same time either. The boost did not work despite the instructions and we have seen another review that has also mentioned this. This clearly needs addressing if the owners want people to return

The flat was clean, spacious and in a very central location. Beds comfortable. Two parking spaces was a real bonus!

"second bedroom" had no plug socket accessible by the mirror. It was unreachable behind the wardrobe. Occupants of small second bedroom had to use either very small "ensuite shower" in "TV room" or "family bathroom". We used shower room and noticed a cracked tile and split sealant in the shower, hope it didn't leak! Also shower room fan did not operate with lights until we found isolator which was turned off in hall cupboard for some reason. Given 2 parking spaces an extra set of keys would have been logical/helpful? Dedicated TV room with basic not smart TV seemed a bit odd? Hot water ran out before we could wash up on first morning, four showers and the last one was running cold! Don't let it put you off though, generally it was a great stay. Thank you hosts!
