Nothing

I've booked a villa and it was mentioned as pay at the property and none approached me for confirmation of room and after reaching the resort, they told that there is no room booked on my name. This is ridiculous!! They told that I should have paid half amount of the room to get it confirmed..but no one approached me or asked me to pay half amount and How would I know that?
