Apartment 207 @ Ryedale House

Very luxurious and lovely decor and furnishings. All the amenities are there for your requirements, and the apartment is very quiet.

It is only a minor issue, but the extractor is not working in one of the bathrooms, so it can get quite hot and steamy.

Location was perfect for what we wanted which was to explore the city and take in the beautiful architecture. The apartment complex is beautiful and very well managed. The concierge staff were very helpful. The area around the apartment was a little bit unsightly but we did have a lovely view of the river and spotted an egret and heron which was a bonus. The apartment itself was absolutely stunning and the Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely touch.

For a luxurious apartment, I would expect at least a king sized bed. The beds were stated to be ‘large doubles’, but felt like standard doubles. Also the parking space allocated to the apartment is a very tight squeeze so we were very thankful we arrived in the smallest of our cars as neither of our others would have fit.

Big window/door in main room didn’t shut properly so you could hear traffic a lot 😒. And on messages you had put park in bay 8 but it was bay 41 so we were a little confused 🫤

The apartment was superb. Well appointed, modern, fantastic appliances. Wonderful location with the whole of York city centre within easy walking distance. Stayed Saturday to Saturday. Great week.

We had no wi-fi for our initial weekend. It took several e mails and phone calls to get a temporary fix sorted out by Wednesday. A bit of an inconvenience. The Apartment wi fi was never fixed. Could it not have been checked before arrival? This was our only gripe. Minor I suppose.

The property was excellent. Everything you needed. We were 2 couples, so both having en suite bedrooms was perfect. Pity about the building sites around.

The only negative part of the apartment was the seating in the lounge. The settee and the chair was very uncomfortable, with no support for your back or neck.

Everything. A seemingly brand new modern apartment which had everything and more. Baths were great, beds were comfortable and everything in York was accessible by walking. The apartment was spacious with a large sofa and chair so all four of us could enjoy the TV. We had great dinners at Masons, The Forest and Cut & ? We couldnt have been more pleased!
