"A comfortable and well-equipped apparment; didn't get the room I booked and missing refunds."

The apartment was very nice and well equipped with everything you might need. It was clean, the other guests were friendly, and there was coffee provided. Overall, very good value for money considering the Boston area.

I had booked a room with a private bathroom several weeks in advance, but the night before my long trip from Europe to Boston, the owner informed me that the private bathroom was no longer available — a message I only saw in the morning. I was offered the choice to cancel or to accept a shared bathroom with a $40 refund. Given the short notice, I had little choice but to accept. While the apartment and shared bathroom were both clean and pleasant, this last-minute change caused unnecessary stress before my trip. Four weeks later, I still have not received the promised refund nor a reply to my follow-up message via Booking.com. Additionally, communication upon arrival was confusing. I was instructed to call the owner after immigration, which I did, but he denied having recently sent the messages about the room change and insisted he had already emailed me the check-in instructions — which I never received. The tone during our call felt somewhat dismissive, and as a tired traveler just arriving from overseas, I found this situation unnecessarily frustrating. That said, once he resent the email everything went smoothly from then on. I understand that technical issues can happen, but I believe responsibility should not be placed solely on the guest in such cases. Despite these issues, once checked in, the stay itself was comfortable and the apartment very nice. However, the lack of timely communication and the missing refund remain disappointing.

Terrible a horror show unreal - THE OWNER is unimaginally rude arrogant. Words cannot describe this guy We are so upset by this experience that we could not relive this ordeal to complete this review earlier. He should not be in the hospitality business I don't want to use any profanity but he is a certified jerk we had a terrible experience with him terrible on the day that we were supposed to check-in to the place he informed us that we hr had to cancel and the interaction was just 'we are not able to have the room for you so we will refund your money and cancel. This was not possible for us because we were notified about this on the day of the arrival after a 17 hour flight. We choose this location because it was close to the red line JFK AS PER HIS AD. AFTER PLEADING PLEADING repeatedly WITH THIS ARROGANT HIGH HANDED UNBELIEVABly RUDE ABNOxiuS OWNER BECAUSE OF NOT HAVING A PLACE TO STAY ON ARRIVAL after a 17 HOUR FLIGHT AND 26 hour journEY. This is AFTER RECEIVING CONFIRMATION AND PREPAYING FOR THE 2 DAY STAY AT THE TIME OF BOOKING on booking.com aND RECEIVING CONFIRMATION OF PAYMENT NOW AFTER LANDING GET THE RUG PULLED OUT FROM UNDER, SO we are at HIS MERCY AND HE was UNBELIEVABLE HE WAS TALKING TO ME LIKE I AM DIRT very callus no remorse just matter of fact. WE SAW HIS GOOD RATINGS BUT I THINK THEY'RE ALL FAKE no one in their right mind would rate this guy well. HE CLAIMS TO BE a 'B&B' BUT HE'S NOT on AIRBNB MOST LIKELY BECAUSE HE WAS THROWN OUT. We were going to be stuck after a 26 hour journEY and managed to get him to agree to make a room available at least for the first of the 2 days We had to make arrangements with friends for the second day which was very disruptive (we needed 2 continuous days to rest after such a long journey) )and he offered a room for the 3rd day. The location was in a dangerous area nothing around with the only pizza place nearby closinh early as is common in rough neighborhoods.

"Scam-False advertisement-witholding money"

The house was clean.

We booked a Triple Room with a private bathroom and when we arrived it was a room with one bed and no private bathroom. We contacted the property manager and his response was that no such room existed on the property but he offered to refund us the whole trip or a partial refund for each day. He admitted that they "missed it conpletely" in our message back and forth. He offered to refund the difference and we said yes. We were moved to another room the next night that was a Triple room i.e. a full bed and a camping cot. At the end of our stay we asked how he would be refunding us and how much. He said that it was $60 and we sent out venmo. In the same message he requested a 10 star review and stated that we would be refunded no matter what. That was on Saturday and it wasn't until Monday that he acknowledged that he still hadn't sent the money. He stated that before he would sent the money we need to write a review which he never said. I have all texts. We told him we would report him to booking and he said "In that case go ahead".
