"The location is nice, but due to bad service of the staff at the complex, we will not return."

The place is on / at the beach! Van Heerden Letting is quick with their service - it is just sad that the housekeeper's service is not on the same level. She spoiled our vacation.

Two major things were reported to Van Heerden Letting. The Lettting company wanted to resolve the matters & spoke to the housekeeper to fix it. Although, the housekeeper of the complex was extremely rude & made upsetting remarks about it. She did nothing about 1 of the 2, despite the letting company's request to solve the matters: 1. The 1 room had a faulty fan & it was very hot & impossible to sleep at night. The holiday we looked forward to, turned out to be unbearable. 3 people slept uncomfortable in the livingroom, to be able to have a bit of airflow at the open sliding door. Luckily there was a burglar bar. 2. The fridge DIDN'T WORK!!!! Where do you ever go on holiday where there's no fridge! Our food was spoiled & rotten It was an unexpected cost on our budget, because we needed to make other plans to be able to eat & to keep some basic things cold. The housekeeper changed the code of the gate & she didn't inform anyone. No 1 could get in or out of the complex. A pregnant lady & other family members stood for nearly an hour at the gate, waiting for someone to open the gate. The housekeeper's response was that she doesn't have anyone's contact numbers!! She gave the code only after someone took authority over her & treated her with the same attitude she had. In contrast... no safety: 3 burglaries took place in that week. An elderly man, a newly wed couple on honeymoon - belongings, purses, cellphones etc. gone. They also tried 2 x to get into our place, but luckily we heard them each time, chasing them away. The housekeeper, just didn't care. Her bad remarks, attitude & no service is no place for a holiday complex! The place was filthy with dirt. On the first day our feet were black and covered with hair. The beds had sand in it!
