Once our reservation was paid for and confirmed the communication with the host became non-existent. He declined all calls, messages and emails. We contacted Booking.com because of the lack of communication and were advised to travel to the property otherwise we would be classed as a no show. When we arrived at the property (having travelled some distance) we received an email from Booking.com to say that the host could not accommodate us. No reasons or explanations were given. We were stranded late in the afternoon trying to find somewhere to sleep and we are still having to wait for a refund. I can't even start to describe the distress for our family. We are still waiting for responses and explanations over 48 hours later.

Unforunately, the hot water tank needed repair. But it was handled :)
