Location excellent House friendly (looking tired) Clean but could do better

Cleanless and repairs need reporting appears information may get mislaid

In a key box code sent prior to arrival. Very Simple.

The house clearly hadn't been cleaned properly The fridge was dirty The bin was filthy Personal items like wallets had been left on lounge cabinet. Not toilet roll in bathroom found one half way up stairs and one in porch pillow case left drying in lounge paid 90 pound cleaning fee and complained all i got was an offer to clean again, not viable on 3 day stay over Christmas. Mess behind settee on window sills. Upstairs shower was blocked and over flowing Kitchen sides hadnt been wiped

No mirrors in the bedroom,

The house was central and very comfortable

The upper staircase had very narrow steps. Three of the four children fell down a number of steps. A stair gate would be helpful to mitigate this risk.

Location was perfect if you have kids- across road from park and Valley Garden play areas, and walkable distance to town centre and to the sea. Had no problem parking roadside outside property. Property was spacious and clean.

The kitchen could have done with a deep clean, needed new pans and cooking utensils. The staircase up to all the bedrooms is very steep and the tread are very shallow, so be careful if you have small children, people who aren’t stable on their feet/elderly. A baby gate at the top and bottom of these stairs might have been helpful

Comfortable furnishings

We were not warned about the death stairs to the bedrooms / the smoke detector was removed / bare wires were showing on a ceiling light / rusty stains in the kitchen cupboards from pans We did advise Host and Stay before submitting this review.
