京乃怡 Kyoto Yorokobu Inn

The house looked gorgeous! 2 rooms with futons was great, comfortable, AC was warm. The living and dining room was well equipped and aesthetically maintained. Restroom had good facilities. Location of the house was in a very nice area. Very peaceful and beautiful feel around .. Accessible to major areas!

The AC could be better. We went in Dec end, living room and dining was very cold cuz there was only 1 AC. Rooms were warm with separate AC for each room.

The house was near the river which was a good identifier to know where to come back to. The bikes were a handy addition and the futons were very comfortable

It was incredibly hard to find, even our taxi driver was confused and went to a lot of trouble to find it. I know all about the difficulty with addresses but I think there should be an explicit map available well before. The check in process was arduous requiring photo of the outside of the house before the entry code was given - it was cold and I just wanted to get inside - a completely strange request. We also had to supply photos of the Kyoto accommodation tax on the table, plus photos of passports - it was not worth all this extra communication back and forth just to get into a room. This is why I will always now recommend hotels for Japan as getting the entry code so late is too stressful and at least at hotels it is an easy process to deposit bags if early before the check in time.

This is a traditional Japanese house with a wonderful atmosphere. It was more than large enough for the four of us, it is very well equipped. Our host was very kind. Some sights are in walking distance, some are further away - we have mainly walked or used the bus. We would definitely want to come back!

This is a traditional Japanese house; very quiet and close to the Kamo River. staff are very friendly and well-appointed, we had a great holiday here.

the inside looks quite good. It got that Japanese vibe. the staff responded fast. they helped us order taxi.

location was far from the station, towel is tiny (how can they provide a towel that small?), a lot of mosquitoes yet no anti mosquito thingy, the bikes tires are flat, also they expect us to clean/wash all the things. I wonder what’s the cleaning fee is for.
