Large 200year old room 2 min away from Mdina

The host did not let us in despite prepaid stay!!! It was the worst booking on booking.com in my life! The host was not responding, only one message saying that he does not want 1 hignt stays, but he had not blocked that possibility at booking so booking charged us for the stay. We were trying to communicate with the host for 2 hours staying at the street before claiming return at booking.com. Destroyed day at Malta!

The fridge wasn't working properly, kitchen too small

The kitchen and bathroom are clean, with sufficient facilities

The host was not in the property, not gave clear instructions to enter the properties; also the basement room is very dirty, has quite poor ventilation and I highly doubt if any proper cleaning was conducted

The accommodation was in Rabat close to restaurants and an easy walk to Mdina. Two bedrooms which meant me and my sister didn't need to share a room. Reasonable value for money.

The front door was very difficult to open, the key was extremely hard to use. There was no wifi code which was annoying, since my own mobile data would not work in the property. The toilet did not flush so we had to use a bucket of water and there was no hot water for the shower.

We never ended up staying here as when we arrived it wasn't ready and we were forced to find somewhere else. The owner assured us it would be ready the following day, but when we arrived back it was NOT. It was extremely dirty and totally unacceptable. Still waiting for the refund that the owner promised.
