Sweet Home Airport

I can’t say i liked the location. I walked it from the airport. I wouldn’t do it again. I booked it because it was near the airport but unless you know the route well its not ideal. The exterior of the place is somewhat off putting. But once you get inside its clean, simple and well done. I would still recommend a taxi. The taxis are a lttle ways done the street so just be aware of this. Communicate and understand you will need a code to enter, an attendant will take some time to help you.

Snadný check-in, dostupné pěšky z letiště (cca 15 minut), uvnitř čisto a funknční klíma. Naproti je pizzerie a na rohu pak kavárna na snídani.

Bezprostřední okolí. Na přespaní po pozdním příletu, nebo před brzkým letem ok, ale pokud jste v Katánii déle, určitě se mrkněte spíš po něčem v centru.

Not much around. Cute little bakery shop that's was all that was open when we stayed.

15-20 minutes walking distance from the airport.

Despite the pictures which show that the room has a window, in the reality the room has no window at all. The smell is like in a basement, no fresh air.

The hospitality

Good for airport standby. The host was very helpful and friendly. Basic refreshments were provided (teas, coffee, bottled water) as well cookery. The area, although not the nicest, has convenience shops (pizza, off license, cafe, pharmacy).

The mattresses in both the bed and the cot were rather saggy, and the cot had noticeable stains.
